West New York Recreation Center

After 40+ years in the “new construction and development” side of the real estate industry nothing makes Gene Vazquez prouder than his 2+ years of participation and contribution to the creation of West New York’s “Recreation Center”.
The West New York Recreation Center will be built on the site of a current municipal police parking lot, located immediately adjacent to Miller Stadium. The planned multi-story facility will be constructed just beyond the stadium's right field outfield wall. The combination of Miller Stadium, Miller Park and the Recreation Center would result in 6.2 acres of space dedicated to recreation in the center of town. The $35 million project is planned as a massive upgrade for the town and will include:
- An indoor competitive swimming pool
- A multi-purpose court for basketball and volleyball
- An indoor soccer field and pickleball courts
- 400 new parking spaces
